Fargo Marathon
On Saturday May 22nd, 2010, the Packatahnas volunteered at the 6th annual Fargo Marathon. Approximately 20,000 runners, representing all 50 states and many Canadian provinces, competed in the growing community event. The Dance Team and parents manned a "cheer" station about a mile from the finish line. Armed with cowbells, homemade signs, and a great deal of spirit, the Packatahnas encouraged event participants as they pushed for the finish. The cheering brought smiles to the faces of many weary runners and added to the overall community spirit of the event.

West Fargo Literacy Night
On May 15th, 2008, the Packatahnas assisted the West Fargo kindergarten teachers with Family Literacy Night. The annual event is a celebration intended to generate student excitement for reading as they head off to grade school and tackle the challenge of learning to read. The students and their parents gathered at the Lodoen Center to play various carnival games, win prizes, and participate in a "book walk". The dancers ran the games and cheered for the nearly 200 kindergarten students as they made their way through carnival. The team enjoys supporting this important cause every year.
